Last Meal

This morning we loaded up the kids and headed to the farmer's market. We picked up a few items then stopped by a new artisan bakery for some sourdough bread. What resulted from our purchases was a meal so delicious that I could eat it each and every day and would most certainly request it as my last meal. (Pay attention kids! One day I'll be an insufferable old woman with bad feet and poor eyesight. If I'm at that time unable to communicate clearly what I want (doubtful) THIS IS what I'd like you to prepare for me every day until I'm dead- HA!)

Warm Toasted Sourdough with a thin spread of mayo (the real stuff, none of that fat free nonsense!) topped with rings of vine ripened tomatoes (so ruby ripe and bursting with flavor they taste like the sun!) interwoven with rich, luscious avocado slices, a sprinkling of sea salt, a pinch of fresh, fragrant rosemary, a dash of crushed red pepper and a twist of lemon.. served open face.... with a glass of Chianti.

I would die a happy woman
