Better not cross this toddler!

Sophia turns 17....!

Months that is!

Our baby is officially a toddler. As I take some time to wipe away the tears (sniff, sniff ..she's not my little baby anymore) it's hard to imagine that just a year ago she had just learned to sit on her own. Now she's singing her ABC's (well, sorta), learning sign language and pulling tons of little stunts to make us laugh. She has a real knack for drop down silliness and is a born entertainer. Now if we only get her to eat something besides crackers and cheese......

More Outdoor Adventures

This was taken after our last snow fall. We had almost 24 inches in less than a week yet it all melted within a few days. It's likely the last time we'll play out in the snow this winter (fingers crossed) but it was great while it lasted!

Minnesota Days

This was the first time Sophia went sledding. It was also the first time I went sledding. Up until my move to Minnesota I'd never even seen a sled in real life.. let alone attempt to go down an extremely steep hill at 50 mph on one! After Patrick pulled the kids around, the adults went out to have a little fun of their own. I never knew playing in the snow could be so much fun. Still, we're all ready for Spring to arrive.

We're not in New Mexico anymore.....

Poor Baby!

Sadly, our little love has been sick all week. She has come down with her first "true blue" stomach flu and has been miserable since Saturday. Luckily she shows signs of coming around.... like wanting to play "Ring around the Rosey" 10 times in a row and spinning like a top around the house. As terrible as it was to see her sick, I have to admit I loved being able to cuddle with her on the "down" days. We stayed in bed a good part of the day Sunday and Monday and caught up on cartoons and watched her beloved "baby" DVD about every two hours (more on that fun little thing later). The pic is of her and I on Sunday during the worst of it.

Our Debut Post!

Oh, how technology has changed our lives! Although I do have a VERY full Shutterfly account that is growing by the day I wanted to create a way to stay in touch with family and friends beyond just pics and web clips. I'm sure most of the posts will detail our lovey, Sophia, but she is the star of the show after all! I hope make this interactive so please say hello if you visit or post comments. I also hereby solemnly promise (not swear!) to post at least once a week... with a pic or clip to go along with it.

Here we go!!
