It's sad but true my dear little blog. I have been hiding out in dark corners. Ducking Out, avoiding you. Wincing a little every time I read someone else's blog and realize it's been several days since I visited you. Even longer since posted.
I am sorry. Don't be mad.
It's not that I have any menacing secret to hide. I haven't found another pastime I enjoy more. I haven't found another blog I heart more, another more charming weblog to steal my attention.
It's just that these days when confronted with the choice of spending time in front of the computer vs. collapsing onto my very soft comfy bed OR sitting in front of the warm welcoming glow of the TV OR venturing outdoors with my honey to watch an incredible New Mexico sunset... well you get the point. Anything that requires little effort or mental capacity is usually the winner.. by a landslide. No offense.
So little blog here's what's been happening since I last visited.
Life with twins is fun. Life with twins that are both crawling, climbing, standing, reaching, grabbing, rolling, jumping (well in the jumperoo) is even more fun. They are little, curious, fast and determined. And there are two of them. I don't stand a chance.
Max recently cut his first tooth. Not monumental in itself (since he made very little fuss and seemed mostly unphased by it coming through) but this is the first milestone that he reached before Alex. Go Maxie Go! You show that little brother of yours. Nothing going to come between you and your first steak dinner. Push out those little chompers! You are 50% Campos after all!
Alex is constantly on the move and is ALL BOY! I never really understood what parents of boys meant about the "ACTIVITY LEVEL" differences between boys and girls but Alex has quickly remedied that with his own crash course on the X chromosome. That little monkey is convinced that he can walk and when he isn't trying to scale a wall or climb up the side of a chair attempts to take steps to get places faster. He also loves to tackle, jump on and otherwise terrorize his big sister and little brother and can be somewhat of a bully but makes up for it by being extra sweet and cuddly. We love him.
Sophia, Sophia, Sophia. What can I say about the girl? She's almost three and while everyone talks about the "Terrible Two's" it's become evident around here that THREE is the REAL culprit for turning innocent, darling little babies into opinionated, strong willed, stubborn little brats children. She's recently taken to a new friend named Clementine. They play together, sing together, read books together, go the park together. Really they're inseparable. I really like this little Clementine too. She helps Sophia out when she's a little reluctant to try new things or food, helps her clean up around the house and convinces her to do the right thing... like not body slam Alex.
Here's a pic of the girls swinging together at the park:
Can't see Clementine? Look a little closer. Oh, that's right. Forgot to mention she's an imaginary friend. Which is nice, right? Except now every time we go to the park I've got to push her too. And when we get into the car I have to remember and secure her into a carseat too. And when bedtime hugs and kisses are being doled out.. guess who never gets left out?
Just what I needed. Another kid to look after!
So you see little blog? I haven't been purposely neglecting you. Life has sped up but I've been fighting to slow things down. But I'll make an effort to visit you more often. Bring by some new pics and updates from time to time. Well gotta go. Clementine needs a glass of water before bed.
All My Best,
Cristal
